In case you can't tell, this is Draco from the movie Dragonheart. I did this in my 3D class. The project was to create a paper mache animal, so I thought I'd have a little fun. I started by making a wire frame. Then I stuffed it with newspaper. Then I covered the outside with more newspaper and paper mache. His eyes are made from those stones you put in a fish bowl. I don't know what they are called The horns are cut up and splayed wrapping paper rolls. His claws are sanded down and painted wooden dowells. I stuck them in with glue by drilling in holes. I srpay painted him because he is so big. He is about 2ft tall X 4 ft long with about a 3 ft wingspan. Bubble wrap and net were added to give his skin texture. Just so you know, the reason he has a loop on his back is because my teacher wanted to hang him.
